Goodbye to our interns Valerie Sanchirico It seems like it was just yesterday when I started my first day at Castilla Tours. However, I have been in the office working alongside Carmen and Samantha for the past five months. My experience here this spring has allowed me to familiarize myself with the most important facets of the tourism and hospitality industry. If I had to sum up all that I had learned this semester in one sentence, it would be the following: The tourism and hospitality industries are extremely detail-oriented businesses that must always go above and beyond to satisfy its customers’ expectations as well as to contend with its competition. I am going to take this valuable piece of advice with me to the States and apply it to my future career, wherever that may be! J I am so grateful to had have interned with a company as dynamic as Castilla Tours. Thanks Sam and Carmen for a wonderful year! Sam Lewandowski Castilla Tours in an amazing company. For the past few months, I have been a marketing intern who has had the opportunity of working alongside Carmen. I love the business world. In the future, I would like to be part of a successful marketing company. However, in order to be part of one, I believe it is vital that a person first acquires experience from working with other businesses. I love to travel and because of this passion, I was interested in an internship in a travel agency. Due to the fact that I study International Business, my internship with a bilingual company in Spain was an incredible opportunity. Throughout the course of my internship, I handled a lot of tasks that I truly enjoyed. My role in the office gave me the opportunity to express my own ideas as well as the chance to put them into practice. Without a doubt, my experience has been an unforgettable one; I know I have learned a lot from my time spent with Castilla Tours.
